MIMOSO video installation explores the record of the performance carried out at Marajó Island, Pará. The artist is tied to Mimoso, the buffalo, and thus dragged across the beach sand. Aware of the fact that the animal would be castrated the following day, she decides to incorporate this dramatic event in her performance too, eating the raw testicle removed from the buffalo using a knife and fork, the local landscape as background. A daily common event becomes a ritual through artistic action.
